Only A Matter Of Time...

Treason- The constitution of the United States, art. 3, s. 3, defines treason against the United States to consist only in levying war (q.v.) against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid or comfort (emphasis mine)

I'm sure some people would say this is going Waaaaaaaaay too far! But when our own intelligence agencies right here in the US of A have categorically stated that Russia has launched repeated cyber attacks against the US (with NO sign of stopping), and Trump repeatedly goes out of his ever lovin' way to single handedly provide Putin with aid, comfort and succor... What the hell is anyone in their right mind supposed to think!?!?!?!

Personally, I'm going on out and getting rip roaring drunk when Mr. Mueller wraps up and shows his cards! I don't think I've ever endured such all out anxious anticipation- probably since the first Ali-Frazier Fight of the Century. But the stakes are considerably higher here, and oh, how I'd love to be a fly on the proverbial wall!

PS-  And a Good Time will be had, cause when I awake- it's gonna be one helluva nasty hangover called... Pence.

  1. During the VN war I was traveling into the US during easter. We were crossing into Montana and the US border guards were convinced I was a draft dodger going home for Easter. No ID or my friends protestations mattered. I was detained and roughed up rather considerably before the RCMP were notified by my friends and came to my rescue. My view of the US changed 100% after that and nothing has gotten any better. Well except our own border people are a-holes now too.

Nothing that Trump can do, or will be allowed to do, will not be irreversible once he is sent packing. With the exception that he has allowed and encouraged all the closet racists to proudly show their colours. Political correctness is what allowed Trump to cruise into power. All PC did was bottle up all the festering classism, racism and a bunch of other ism's that were always there but were well hidden. It lulled normal intelligent people into thinking that their country was turning a corner. Heck even a black man was voted in as president. Chests were puffed out, the war against the billy-bobs had been won,,, again.

All countries have their own brand of billy-bob's but the US has never really moved on from it's slave days. Systemic racism is what's killing the US. The fear them black folk are getting all uppity and wanting our jobs and moving into our neighbourhoods is what keeps a large segment of the US population awake at night. Well at least enough to vote in the master manipulator of those who feel downtrodden.

We have our own issues here in Canada as well. There are towns in Alberta that anyone of colour should probably pass on by. It sickens me.

Whether we are a republic or a parliamentary democracy, irrespective of our constitutions, the thing holding us back is our inability to love our neighbour, or at least give him a fair shake. We have been brainwashed into a scarcity mentality. If we help someone else succeed there will only be less for us. That's total BS. Or Trump's philosophy, what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine too if I'm smart enough to steal it from you.

Personally I am glad I am at the tail end of my life. I enjoy my life, friends, family but what I see happening day in and day out to my fellow man just wears me down.

As long as the political types and their flunkies the news media can keep us fighting over BS stuff that really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things nothing will ever get better.

  2. Amen... And as usual it's left to us- we can let others define us, or commit to change...
