  1. Come on Stan you are better than that. Calling the French "frogs", really?? Your the last person I would expect to use slurs like that.

  2. Honestly, I really don't know if you're being sarcastic or not. The term "frogs" for the French is... interesting- I mean it's so ludicrous, I really don't know what to make of it really. Ludicrous in the sense that it doesn't really seem to make any sense. It's like every other nationality has a rather nasty pejorative attached to them, they couldn't think of one for the French (great food, beautiful language and country) so they pulled the alliterative "frog" outta the clear, blue sky just for the sake of having one!

Am I completely wrong about this? Do people of French descent really take offense of it- particularly in Canada? I always kinda thought the French got away kinda easy on this- they got a funny name, everybody else got a pretty nasty one!

Please, enlighten me- I'm already feeling pretty guilty...

  3. Not gonna wait for your reply- title fixed! It's always "funny" when you're not at the receiving end of derision. Point taken; yes, I really should have known better- My Bad!

  4. Good stuff Stan. I hope that crow didn't taste to bad lol. Nicknames are almost never complimentary. Look at the term "Yank", short for Yankee. It has several connotations. None of which are complimentary but on the surface seem inoffensive. In the rest of the world to be referred to as a Yank or Yankee is an incredible insult. As they say, "thems fighten words".
