I recently ran upon this photographer again somehow, someway- after once posting about him on my previous blog, Reciprocity Failure (where most of the accompanying photographs and illustrations were inadvertently removed). And just like the first time, the sheer directness and unpretentiousness of his portraiture stopped me cold in its simplicity and appeal- the kind of simplicity fraught with mystery. The kind of visual poetry one can return to repeatedly and continue to mine both for insight and pure enjoyment...
