Lesson Learned?

This summer, a most alarming intriguing precedent has been set. One I'm not quite sure what to make of or construe. Weekend after weekend I take my lengthy afternoon constitutional(s)- only to return to the hearth with absolute nada to show for said excursions. Meanwhile, my short promenade to and from the local pub on early Friday eves have been producing much more discernible results.

The conclusion has become rather obvious: drink more, try less...

  2. Oh, how I wish that were true- the legions of bit fat portfolios I would have!

  3. It is true. You're just not in the RIGHT frame of mind.

  4. Sorry, not buying. I'm open to photos most of the working/waking day whenever outside with camera (always w/GR during day); 100% when I'm not working and specifically looking. I've come home empty handed much of the time in latter mode- as do most predatory animals when out hunting.

Then again, I can just be going for coffee on a break and Boom (see below), or for a beer... as above. That's not to say I don't miss things, granted. Yeah, I anticipate, look for patterns, but ultimately, it's serendipity. Granted, I'm also not the penultimate street photographer; players like Winogrand or Gilden have thrust themselves into the mix, not unlike a Jordan, to facilitate shit happening. And the scenario obviously changes when covering an event, or chosen essay with your subject's cooperation.

& Needless to say, your particular mileage may vary.
